  Collegiate Church's Cloister
by amsterdam_vallon

The CLOISTER : only the Romanesque arcades, bult on the north wall of the Collegiate Church are original. The rest of the group was refurbished at the end of the end of the 19th century.
A brief description of the interior : the original Gothic vaulting spans the interior, both in the nave and the side aisles. Carved Romanesque capitals in the choir show Daniel in the lion's den and, near the organ, monkey musicians. Over the west door and above the porch is St.Micheal's gallery, built at the end of the 18th century. An arcade of trefoil arches gives lightness to the wall behind.
