A little bit outside Paris, is the ------------. Down a little ways is the less crowded and somewhat lesser known Le Clos Luce. This is one of the places where Leonardo da Vinci lived . Da Vinci was a good friend of King -------- and so the king actually had a tunnel connecting the two chateaux. We had a great time visiting this somewhat smaller but very interesting chateau of da Vinci's. At the end of the tour there is a small museum of sorts commemorating Leonardo's various inventions, artwork and drawings. It doesn't have the majesty or enormity of other chateaux like Chambord but is definitely just as interesting and less crowded.

Address: 2 Rue du Clos Lucé, 37400 Amboise, France
Directions: At Rue de la Malonnière. 227 km Southeast of Paris.
