We take a taxi back to Yangon. The road is very bumpy and only one car width is tarmaced. The edges are gravel, and every time we meet someone, one of you have to drive out on the edge. I swear the driver is related to Nigel Mansell. There are lots of other road users: overfull lorries doubling as buses, horse carts, bicycles, motorbikes and other cars and taxis.

The taxi takes us down to the river side where you have to board another ferry to cross. We sit on little stools on the floor only about six inches high. This seems to amuse the locals.
