The Hofbräuhaus dates back to the late 16th century and is literally one of the most visited tourist sites in Munich. Many people warned me that it's somewhat of a tourist trap and that no true beer or food lover would pay the higher prices and visit this place. However, Richie and I had a good and hearty meal here and enjoyed the beer. Sure, you can find cheaper beer elsewhere, but as long as you're in Munich, you might as well stop in to this famous and historic place.

I've heard from others that the service can be spotty and based on the sheer size of the place and the number of tourists that come here, it wouldn't surprise me if that's true.

Favorite Dish: The roasted baby pig is good and we had a couple Hellis beers to wash it all down.
