"US denn of espionage" Tehran Things to Do Tip by global_explorer

Tehran Things to Do: 228 reviews and 552 photos

The denn was, until the dramatic days of the 1979 revolution, the US embassy in Tehran, now it is occupied by the military and the insignias are chopped away. What makes this place interesting are certainly not the building itself, but the wall surrounding it. That wall is photogenic with a lot of colourfull hatepropaganda towards USA. Sadly, it is forbidden to take photos, i tried as the towers was unmanned, but in the buildings behind me it was guards. I was more or less arrested, but just before the gate to the armybase was to engulf me, i was sendt away, with the order get away-fast. Along the Taleqani street there is several other building with equaly photogenic depictings witch is far safer to shot.

Directions: In the cross between Taleqani and Shahid Mottafeh streets.
