"The Seven Wells (Telegah Tujuh) Waterfalls" Pulau Langkawi Things to Do Tip by bkarjee

Telegah Tujuh Waterfalls is also called Seven wells waterfalls and is close to the oriental village in the north eastern part of the island. In order to reach the top of the waterfalls, we had to climb a recently constructed staircase with almost 1000 steps and that was too tiring. I realized the significance of the name (Seven wells waterfalls) when I reached the top of the waterfalls, where I could see well like structures formed on the rocks and filled with water. The water keeps collecting in these wells and formed a small pool where I could see people relishing the cool water but the rock surface is quite slimy because of algal growth and one has to be careful while bathing. At the top, it is not so impressive and one can afford to miss it. We couldn’t go to the bottom of the waterfalls but were told by other visitors that it is a better place to go and moreover, you don’t have to climb a lot in order to reach there. Water comes cascading down and it is possible to stand underneath to get a good massage.

Address: On the north west of the islands
Directions: Follow the road directions for Telegah Tujuh Waterfalls from the Airport
