"Take in a Tango Show" Argentina Things to Do Tip by grets

Argentina Things to Do: 447 reviews and 726 photos

Buenos Aires is the birthplace of tango (more than 100 years ago) and the dance is highly revered and performed with much gosto.

We went to Carlos Gardel to see an evocative and sensual performance. A very large theatre with seating cleverly positioned so everyone gets a good view. There is a large menu to choose from and the price includes as much wine and water you would like.

The orchestra was excellent - the lead accordian looked like he was really enjoying every minute!

Very good custumes, lots of different moves, some acts telling a story, some acts with just two perfomers dancing. Well worth the money!
