"Lee was here" Arlington House - Robert E. Lee Tip by mht_in_la

  Robert E Lee Memorial
by mht_in_la

This is Robert E Lee Memorial, also called the Arlington House. When I first visited Lee Memorial I thought he may be the first Chinese to fight in the American Civil War. Then I saw his picture; didn't look like it.

The building's exterior is as grand as a temple. I especially liked the Doric style columns. But inside it's a warm and comfortable home. You can take a inside tour to see what Lee's life was like in the 1850's. I took many photos here. I'll post them in the travelogue. By the way, the Lee Memorial has a great view towards Washington DC.

Address: Arlington, VA.
Directions: Metro Stop: Arlington, the cemetary is in walking distance. Across the Potomac from the Lincoln Memorial.
