This is a great museum to learn about Mendocino County's past. Exhibits explain how the area was settled and includes Yuki and Pomo Indian basketry, objects recovered from the 1850 Frolic shipwreck and rare horse drawn vehicles. The museum is open Wednesday. through Sunday, 10am to 4:30pm. Admission is free.

Directions: When driving through the main street in town (Hwy 101), turn RIGHT onto Commercial Street. Go over the railroad tracks. The Museum is on the left across from Recreation Grove Park.
