  OLD, WOODEN HOUSE :-)

Look at that house on my picture which stood by a parish church. I noticed four, not only Rudamina local customs there:

1. They don't mow (or scythe) the grass around their houses.
Well, usually they do it but maybe once a summer. Only around some new built villas and residencies (in cities) it worked different. Tip for business: run on electric (or petrol) lawn mowers in Lithuania is coming, soon! It already came to Poland.

2. They used to bar rooms on a ground floor.
Well, at some houses only: always in those who may look attractive for thefts but susprisingly in such houses as on my picture as well. I don't know anything about thefts in Lithuania but...

3. They used to store wooden ladders outdoors, hang on a wall of a house.
Hmm... not often but a few times I could see it here or there on Lithuania.

4. Locals used to put metal roofing, corrugated iron sheets especially.
Hmm... not the most beautiful roofing unless... it's mossgrown like in that house on my picture.
