"VOICES FROM HEAVEN" Europe Things to Do Tip by I-Believe-I-Can-Fly

Europe Things to Do: 1,313 reviews and 2,177 photos

It was a little disappointment when I went to WESTMINSTEER ABBEY in 1997. Large sections of the cathedral were roped off and the tour rushed us through some of the areas with the most interesting memorials and tombs. So my travel partner & I slipped away from our group. We wandered through the cathedral. When we reached a section where artists on their bronze scarpping art worked (near the tombs of Elizabeth or Mary Queens of Scots -- I couldn't recall), we stoodstill all at once. Nothing brings back memories of travels in Europe more than when we heard pure angelic song of the boys choir... G, the voices from heaven took my breath away... We really got a sense of the living church, and not just a rush-rush tourist versions of things. They are spiritually moving and help to show the true character of a place. Grandeur, glory and it was magic. I still get goosebumps thinking about that voices... This was the first lesson of joy in the unexpected!
