Madagascar Things to Do: 137 reviews and 267 photos

Today we split into two groups ? slow and fast. The slow group will have less scrambling and take it easier, looking at insects and flowers on the way, so I choose to join this group. (As it turns out later, we take the same route as the others and arrive five minutes later!) During our walk through the rain forest, we spot the curious looking giraffe neck beetle, Red Tailed Vanga, woolly lemurs, forest rat, red bellied lemur, greater bamboo lemur, Pitta-like Ground Roller and Red Fronted Brown Lemur. In order to see these animals at fairly close quarters, a lot of scrambling is involved and many steps. One poor chap falls twice, once into a shallow stream. He is very embarrassed but unhurt.
