  the real royal delftware marking
by tompt

Like the blue ceramic delftware? This is the place to buy it. They sell new and old (antique) pieces.

This is not your real souvenir delftware windmill shop, but more like plates and cups.

The Royal Delftware is not cheap though......

What to buy: Be sure it is the real stuff, whether you buy it here or anywhere else.

There is only one genuine Royal Delft factory - De Porceleyne Fles in Delft, Holland. Their factory mark, see the picture, does not show the word Royal.
All Delftware from this factory is handpainted, without the use of stencils.
The English word "Royal" is not protected under Dutch law, so many imitators name the word royal on their porselain.

But it is simple:
If it says Royal Delft on the item, it's not genuine. Look for the mark.
