Wentworth's: "Damn good ice cream" New Haven Restaurant Tip by jbel2879

New Haven Restaurants: 65 reviews and 79 photos

This is the kind of place kids' dreams are made of. Exhibit A: Cookie Monster Ice Cream - cookie dough ice cream dyed blue. And is it ever creamy and fattening! Just what you'd want your ice cream to be like if you're between the ages of 6 and 12.

Adults will be pleased too, as Wentworths has a number of grown-up ice creams, including a few with liqueur in them. And for those lactose intolerants, there's tofutti that will knock you off your bootie.

Sorry. I had to,

Anyway, Wentworth's is located off of Rt. 10 which leads right out of New Haven, through Hamden, and then towards Cheshire. You can munch on your ice cream with a kickin' view of Sleeping Giant State Park, featuring a mountain in the shape of - you guessed it - a sleeping giant.

We're so creative here in CT.

Favorite Dish: Mocha chocolate lace ice cream.
