As one of the few remaining free houses in England, this pub/resturant offers an extensive menu including traditional, oriental, Tex-Mex dishes as well as a scrumptious Sunday lunch & evening BBQ, which means there really is something for everyone. The staff are very friendly and children are welcome. It's located in the unspoilt village of Avon Dassett, near the National Trust park of Burton Dassett Hills.

Favorite Dish: The Shank of Lamb which was served on parsley mash with a selection of vegetables. It was cooked to perfection, and the meat fell off the bone. Yummy!

Address: The Avon, Main Road, Avon Dassett, CV47 2AS
Directions: Drive into the village from the Warwick Road, and it's on your left. You can't miss it!
