Finally I managed to see this master piece of Gothic Art. The first time I visited London was in 1996 and guess what, I could not visit the Abbey as they were getting it ready to bury the Princess of Whales. I was quite astounded to see you have to pay 7.50 to get into Westminster Abbey but bitt the bullet as it is worth a trip to this historical place.
The abbey goes back to 1045 when King Edward I, consolidated Norman influences and the English kingdom. The abbey continues as an active site of worship today.
For centuries, Westminster Abbey is the scenery of big Royal ceremonies, and like this the symbol of British Tradition.
