The building is a typical beguinage church. It is very simple and very peaceful.
The church was rebuilt in 1605 after a fire in 1584. It is dedicated to St Elisabeth of Hungary. Her portrait hangs above the entrance. One of the most important features of the church is the statue of the Virgin in Bruges. It is the oldest one known.
Prayers are taken here several times a day.

Directions: Towards the south of the centre next to the canal.
