Susy's Little Italy: "Cheap Italian food" Savannah Restaurant Tip by soundsgoodtome

Susy's is a non-elegant little Italian restaurant located on the second floor above a much fancier restaurant, which you see before it and think you're going to experience a luxurious place. Its fairly cheap, and the food was altogether good. I tried a margherita pizza, which they say is just like real Italian pizzas, but falls short. They are very thin and don't use tomato sauce, only a thin paste, but the crust was crispy and overcooked, unlike real Italian pizzas that are very soft and delicate. They also put on top some type of green oil and spices that I had never had before, which didn't make it taste any better. The pastas and bread here though are really good, and they have a large selection of imported Italian wine, as well as some cheaper California wines. I would eat here again, but I would not order pizza next time.
