"Food Center" Bangkok Restaurant Tip by Ewingjr98

Despite the bland name, Food Center came highly recommended from the Nana Hotel staff, so I gave it a shot. It had bar seat on the street so you could almost taste the traffic. There are also seats inside for those who like to relax while eating.

Being my first meal in Thailand, I had no idea what to try. The bartender recommended your basic fried rice with stir fried beef and veggies (BhT 160 = US$4). I alo shad a huge Singha Beer for (Bht90 = US$2.2.5). The meal was very tasty and the bartender instructed me on how to get the flavor from the hot sauce without getting the hot peppers that would have torched my tongue!

Address: Sukumvit, approx Soi 6
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: on the main road
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 4
Theme: Local
