Cyprus will get very hot during the summer months and it can get upto 40c or more.Getting dehydrated can causes heat exhaustionYour body looses salt when you sweat etc..If you go during summer months(June-September) remember to drink plenty of water and not to exercise or go too mad first few days of getting there.Try to to drink too much alcohol etc.You will know if you are getting heat exhaustion as you will feel tired and weak and have headaches and may feel dizzy and light headed and may get cramps.Adding salf to food will help your body regain the lost salt.
Heat Stroke is also a danger. This happens when your body overheats and your bodies temp raises too high.It can kill you.The main cause is too much sun-bathing and not enough drinking of water and too much alcohol etc.You will get the following symptoms if you have it.Feeling ill, not sweating,a high body temp of around 39c to 41c.Your skin will look red.You will have a really bad throbbing headache and you will feel dizzy and muddled up.You will need medical attention at this stage but the best thing is to get the person out of the sun and cover them in a wet sheet.Fan them too to cool them down.Drink water too.So the best way to avoid this is too be careful.Dont sun bathe too long and drink lots of water and cool off now and then by swimming or sitting in the shade.Build up slowly over a few days etc.
