  Good stuff (clipped from brochure)

The V&A is the greatest museum of art and design, and home to 3000 years' worth of amazing artefacts. It has the largest collection of Italian Renaissance sculpture outside Italy and the stunning British Galleries, illustrating the history of Britain through the country's art and design. We visited only the British Galleries so will have to return for more later. It is well organized and beautifully presented. Although you will be solicited (in a subtle manner) for a donation, admission is free. What a bargain. Check on the hours, but I think they are open daily until 17:45 Th-Tu and until 21:00 on Wed.
