Copper Castles appears to cling to the steep valley walls, access is gained, by crossing a gated bridge, if the gateman is at his lunch, you can be in for a long wait!

Checking in/out was a slow, and haphazard procedure. Although not rude, the staff weren't particularly welcoming (I can't remember seeing any of them smile!)

The guests appeared mainly to be in tour groups. We did spot a couple of honeymooners "talking with their eyes" as our guide described them!

The hotel appeared to be devoid of any atmosphere, and was quite dilapidated in parts.

The lounge was empty, there may have been a TV but I didn't spot one. A table tennis table appeared to be the only source of entertainment.

Room service and Laundry service available

The gift shop stocked chocolate, crisps, biscuits and films, but didn't open until after most of the tour groups had departed for the day.

Although its isolated position provides peace and tranquility, I think after more than 1 night here, cabin fever would set in!!

The hotel is probably afraid of being sued by the trades description, if it doesn't live up to its company name of A BAD hotels group!!!

Unique Qualities: All the rooms have balconies facing the valley.

Spacious rooms, with armchairs and TV (but in our 3 rooms they didn't work!)

The restaurant has a panoramic view over the valley. Meals are buffet style with hot/cold, veg/ non veg, westernized / local dishes. Entertainment during the evening meal was provided by a couple of musicians.

Seating is available in the garden, but it was too cold to sit out in the evening.

The temp. at night dropped to 9 degrees, and the room felt quite cold. It would be a good idea to request an extra blanket well in advance of bedtime!
