This market is great for buying rip-off name brands and souvenier things. The vendors will harass you and even grab you at times. It can be quite a horrible experience. They will ask for 3-4 times what you should really pay for it.

Unique Suggestions: If you must go, then make sure not to pay more than a third of what they ask for. Don't be afraid to walk away because they will call you back if they are willing to give you your price. Don't be afraid to be aggressive either. You won't hurt their feelings. Also, they will look extremely sad when you have gotten a good deal. Don't think you are ripping them off. I guarantee that they would not have sold it to you if they were not making money.

Fun Alternatives: I would suggest going to the Qianmen market which is off the Qianmen subway stop. It has many of the same products, and much more reasonable prices (dont pay more than half here) and they aren't so aggressive. Or you can try the Ya Show (SanLiTun) clothing market for the rip-offs. They are pretty calm. "Hey lady, cheaper for you!" Have fun!
