The Metropolitain: "Best Black Forest Cake" San Antonio Restaurant Tip by lisa_lise

San Antonio Restaurants: 229 reviews and 254 photos

This is a beautiful French restaurant with not much square footage but massive vaulted ceilings and walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. There's also a patio that's perfect for hanging out with some girlfriends on a spring/summer/fall night. (Texas doesn't have much distinction between seasons.) Not so great for entrees (the crepes are dry and the quiche is filling but still slightly dry), but the dessert is fabulous. Most people I know go there strictly for dessert. See web link at the end of this tip for review.

Favorite Dish: 3 words: black forest cake.
