Lipica is a small village in the Karst region.
It is known as the origin of the beautiful, world famous Lippizaner horse.
It was founded in the year 1580 by the Austrian archduke Charles.
Nowadays Lipica continues and even improves the antient, 400 year old tradition of breeding the famous white horses.

You can attend a performance of the classical school of riding.
There is also art gallery where you can admire the works of art by Avgust Cernigoj, great Slovene painter.
Children can ride the ponies or amuse themselves on the children's playground,the other guests can opt for the golf course, tennis courts, riding a horse or rides in old fashioned carriages.
