  Portrait of Alexander I
by filipdebont

Hall Nr 197 is the 1812 War Gallery.

In fact it is a long gangway filled with paintings of portraits (mostly by George Dawe) of the Russian Heroes from the war against Napoleon in 1812.

At the end of this hall you can see a big painting of Alexander I, made by Franz Kruger.
