Once you have entered the hermitage, it is advisable to leave your belongings in the vestibule and to go to the toilet first. As there is a long journey coming.

One of these statues is the Laocoonte.

It is a copy after the antique, and was made in marble by Paolo Andrea Triscornia (1757 - 1853).

I believe that the original Laocoonte can be seen in the Vatican museum in Roma.

Michelangelo used this original Laocoonte sculpture as a source of inspiration for his sculptures.
