I haven't been here in years, but the parental units would bring me here in the younger years of my life. The Mansion is designed in the Spanish Revival look and consists of 24 rooms. the rooms contain exibits of William K. Vanderbilts exraorinary collections of things aquired through his many travels. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and theres also a Planetarium that is withing the confines of the property. It was designed by the same architects that made the Grand Central terminal in Manhattan. The home is perched on the bluffs overlooking the Long Island Sound in the town of Centerport. I hear in the month of August there is wine tasting in the courtyard so you can pretend that you are living the Gold Coast lifestyle, except your pockets are only lined with lint rather than green paper with president bust's on it.
