"Fly along Etna" Sicilia Transportation Tip by Sjalen

Sicilia Transportation: 32 reviews and 42 photos

Flying into Sicily is special, at least if you fly to Catania, just south of Etna, as then you very often pass first the Lipari islands with their craters (Volcano, Stromboli...) and then Etna itself with its peak above the clouds. Most western countries have charter flights to Catania and you can often buy the flight only, rather than a whole package.

Should you want to fly scheduled, try Ryanair from Stanstead to Palermo, or Hapag-Lloyd from German cities to Catania. Italian Volareweb also flies to both from for instance Paris and from Italian cities.
