Neuchâtel Off The Beaten Path: 9 reviews and 19 photos
While visiting my Swiss Family (well the family I lived with as a student), they had us join them at a friends home and small vinyard. They had to cover the vines with netting to keep the birds from eating the grapes. So, we got to take part in that activity and then the best part afterwards - enjoying a Fondue Neuchateloise (cheese). We had two big pots going, with lots of Neuchatel white wine, and then while we took a rest in the middle of the meal some Reine Claude - a very strong liqueur, like Poire William or Kirsche. We then got back to the serious eating of Fondue with pickles and pickled onions. mmmmmmmmmm
