"Cabo de Sao Vicente" Portugal Things to Do Tip by freya_heaven
Portugal Things to Do: 760 reviews and 1,215 photos
This a beautiful & awe inspiring area, natures elements certainly puts you in your place. The headland here was the last glimps of home as the sailors set off on their exploratory voyages in the new world, centuries ago.
The name Cabo de Sao Vicente comes from the belief Saint Vincent was washed up here after being killed by the Romans in 304 in Valencia.
If you are short of time & have to choose between Sagres 6 km along the road or here, choose here!
