The Church was begun by a missionary called Ms Apple who came to Singaproe to set up a mission for Heng Hua Hock Chew and Chinese clans. Work on the original church was halted when war broke out in Singapore but in 1952 the church was finally completed. The pillars of the church are decorated in bible verses written in Chinese script. On the 3rd floor there is a huge Chinese character for ?love? which is embedded in the wall above the altar. This Anglican church is open on weekends between 9.00am to 1.00pm.
