TAP WATER is drinkable throughout Croatia.

TIME ZONE: GTM plus one hour (in summer two hours).

- Shops: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. - 2 (3) p.m.
In the summer working hours might vary! In bigger cities there are also stores that are open almost 24 hours.
- Post-offices: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sat. until 1 p.m.
during the summer in bigger cities: till 10 p.m.
- Banks: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sat.: until 1 p.m., in big cities sometimes open on Sunday.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS: Public phones can only be used with phone cards, which are available in post offices, at news-stands, hotels and tourist complexes. Only in some post offices there is the opportunity to pay phone-calls with cash money.

ELECTRICITY: 220V, 50 Hz (Central European standard with 2 round plugs).

STAMPS are usually sold in post-offices and at news-stands
