Favorite thing: Visit Teatralna Ploshchad (Theatre Square, Elisabethplatz before WW 2) right in the centre. You might feel being three generations ago somewhere in the centre of a sleepy Austrian provincial town. The theatre building itself is one of a large series of identical theatre buildings of the architects Fellner and Helmer throughout Central Europe and Germany in Art Deco style. Exactly the same theatre stands in Fürth, Germany. These Viennese architects also built some 20 years before the Vienna Burgtheater at the Ringstrasse and the almost identical (only the colour seems to be different) Opera house in Odesa.
