Don't you make the same idiot mistake. Bring your own SUNSCREEN. Bring it from home too, because it's three times as expensive in Europe, on the mainland as well as the island here. Use this sunscreen each and every time you are anywhere outdoors. If you think you might be needing Dramamine etc for the ferry ride over to La Gomera, bring your own. It is available here and it's not expensive at all, less then 4euros for a 12pill pack, but you can only get this and any other over-the-counter medicine at pharmacies. Tracking down a 24hr pharmacy at 10p is something you want to avoid, if you can help it.
