A reason to climb Uluru would be the view. It is magnificent to see the desert all around you as far as your eyes can see. And you can also see Kata Tjuta.
BUT you could also see that from a plane or helicopter, which I think you should do instead. The place where you start the climb up Uluru is sacred to the aborigines. They call us climbers "Minga" - ants. That's a nice way of putting it actually...
