Probably Roswell's largest tourist attraction is the International UFO Museum and Research Center located downtown. It's free, but they ask for donations. They basically converted an old theatre into the museum which features a timeline of the Roswell Incident from 1947. You can read sworn testimonies from people involved and decide for yourself what really happened.

The first week in July is dedicated to the UFO convention and, according to one of the locals, all the freaks come out. You may want to avoid that week in Roswell if you are not a true believer.

Address: 114 N. Main St
Directions: Located near the intersection of 2nd Street and Main St. in downtown Roswell.
