In Vojvodina is also strong Slovak community with the Backi Petrovac (village in vicinity of Novi Sad) as centre. They settled some 250 years ago and still keep their costumes and tradition strong. One easily could see elderly Slovak woman in their traditional national costumes everywhere in Vojvodina.

First families of Slovak-evangelical faith moved into Novi Sad at early 19 century, and the church was built in 1886. The building is with tuneful dimensions with orientated westward, and the church tower with traditional neo-baroque cap dominates the area.

Services are held at 10.00 a.m.
