The Pro Football Hall of Fame

If you love football (and I know you do) you will want to check out the Pro-Football hall of fame. The profiles of the greatest men who ever played the game are saved here, along with the records of their achievement. There are many exhibits, some very interactive, to keep or even build interest in the sport. Plus, being a San Diego Chargers fan in the Midwest, it is the only place I know of where I can buy a Ladanian Tomlinson jersey outside California.

The best time to come is in late July, early August when the Hall of Fame festival is going on. When I lived here, many of the former players and Enshrinees were very accessable to the public, it was a fan's dream come true! I have actually met Bart Starr, and Dan Fouts at Hall of Fame events. Did I mention that the events go an entire week? The Ribs burnoff and parade are fun for the whole family, and then there is the game itself! The hall of fame game is played in Faucet Stadium, a high school football stadium. Don't laugh, this town is football crazy, in fact the whole area is. Once here it will be no surprise as to why the Hall is located here. Rent the movie "Go Tigers" to see what the area's fans are like, just for High School football. If you plan to attend the game, pick up the phone and call the hall of fame right now for tickets! Seriously, these things have been known to sell out a year in advance.

Address: 2121 George Halas Drive NW
Directions: Its been a while, so your best bet is to call the hall. But, it is located right of I-77 just north of Timkin Mercy Hospital, and just south of St. Rt. 62. at Exit 107A.
