Torre de Belém - Tower of Belém, Lisbon: 224 reviews and 444 photos

  Belem Tower

The Tower was initially built, in 1515, in the middle of the Tagus to protect the harbor.
The earthquake of 1755 transported it near the bank or the place of the banked changed, I don't know.
The the weather is not rainy you can have a beatiful view on the river and the two banks.
Open : 10AM to 6:30PM
Closed on Monday
Ticket : 3 euros (free on Sunday before 2PM)

Address: West side of the city
Directions: We took the bus 27 as far as Belem and after we walked.
No metro but a train but the station was not at the level of the tower.
