Pitoresque Casa Mazzanti, decorated with frescoes by A. Cavalli, stands on the north-east side of the Piazza delle Erbe. Once it was the Scaligeri's house but sold to the local noble family of Mazzanti. Next to it stands the Domus Nova, whose original design has been considerably altered over the years.
