If you want to fill some time you can head up to ZakiMI Castle. This castle was built in the 15th century but the only thing remaining now are the outer walls. The UNESCO designated this Heritage site along with a lot of the castle in Okinawa. Just outside the outer wall they have a small park where you can have a quiet picnic or enjoy a nice walk.

The castle is located along route 12 also you will see a sign for the castle along Route if your heading towards Cape Maeda
