  Just Don't Look Down
by nxlink

When you reach the top of Table Mountain you soon see some strange, small, rodent like animals perched on the most dangerous overhangs and ledges. These small, friendly looking animals are called "dassies" or "hydraxes". A sticky substance on their paws helps them to cling to the scariest and most dangerous rocks and ledges. They are of ancient lineage and are said to be more closely related to elephants than to rodents!
