"I'd recommend Calhouns for a..." Knoxville Restaurant Tip by KathyW

I'd recommend Calhouns for a 'taste of Tenneseee'. There are several locations in town, but the location 'on the river' in downtown Knoxville offers the most interesting atmosphere.
The view out over the river is neat. By the way, stay away from this place on UT Football weekends! It's just down from the stadium and at a marina where many fans tie up boats for a different kind of tailgating.

Favorite Dish: You can have a steak, fish or a great salad, but try some local specialities: barbequed pork, ribs or catfish. I recommend Spinach Maria as a side dish.

Directions: Neyland Drive, near the football stadium. Just south of downtown, on the Tennessee River.
