"A Place to Rest my Head!" Regina Things to Do Tip by lauriejeanne

Regina Things to Do: 49 reviews and 60 photos

My final 10 days in Saskatchewan were spent examining piano candidates at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina. Now talk about culture shock!

The Hotel Saskatchewan is an elegant, gorgeous hotel in the heart of the Province?s capitol city. The room I had, although small, was exquisite in its design and overall attention to detail.

The staff were friendly and helpful and guess what? Pay per view movies were free! OK, that?s not always the case, but when I was there a lengthy strike was on and to appease the guests, management offered free movies. I gladly took them up on their offer!

Of course in order to enjoy this hotel, you first must find it and to do that, I suggest purchasing a detailed map before you leave home. For upon entering Regina you will neither find service amenities where you can pull over and ask directions nor any visitor friendly sign posting that may perchance mention "city center." The Trans Canada Highway brings you into the city on a ring road and with no signs to tell you when to turn off, you could end up leaving the city before you ever really entered it.
