"Art Nouveau Splendor! Treat yourself!" Hotel Paris Prague Tip by HarlowSires

  Hotel Pariz from the street.
by HarlowSires

The Pariz is in the center of old Prague. We took the train into Prague and took a cab from the train station to the Pariz (the only time we needed one of the cities notoriously "rip off" artists cabs, the hotel shuttled us back to the station at the end of the visit for MUCH less money). The Hotel Pariz looks like an Art Nouveau cruise ship from the street. We stayed there between Christmas and New Years's Eve 2003, we were upgraded to a bigger room with no extra cost. The Sarah Bernhardt restaurant was fabulous! Avoid the Czech wines though, stick with French. The front desk could not have been nicer. Everyone speaks fluent English and there were no problems. The hotel is expensive but worth every cent.

Unique Qualities: The room was nice, the bath tub was huge, room service was great, the mini bar was not even expensive. The lobby was beautiful, they always had out coffee, cookies and/or apples for the guests.

Save up your pennies and treat yourself!

Address: U Obecniho Domu 1, Prague null
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: The location is wonderful, you can walk out the door and be right on the start of an Art Nouveau walk in several guidebooks. In fact the hotel is a highlight on the walk. The national theater is next door with a breathtaking interior.
