The church of San Bernardino used to belong to the Franciscan Order and was founded in 1451. It is preceded by a cloister. The facade is brick and has pointed Gothic windows. Statues of Franciscan Saints, from 1474, stand above the lunette that crowns the main entrance, wheres the lunette itself contains a mural of St. Francis Receiving the Stigmata.
The interior is a single nave, a feature which is often found in Franciscan churches, as well as a side aisle and chapel.
The most valuable is Cappella Pellegrini built by Michele Sanmicheli around 1527 for Margherita Pellegrini. Note of worth is also the organ from 1481 beautifully decorated by Domenico Morone.
