"Hohe Salve Old Chairlift" Söll Transportation Tip by sandysmith

The summit of Hohe Salve is reached by a 2 stage cable car now - a gondola to Hochsoll and then another to Hohe Salve. This used to be a rattly old single chairlift - not for the faint-hearted!

Well I'm glad we had the opportunity to ride that "30 year old museum piece" on our first visit to this area several years ago - if you have a head for heights it was a great way to see the scenery without being closed in a box, certainly easier to take pics too! I shall miss it for one :-( I love riding all these chairlifts and gondolas.
