  The Kijk-Kubus
by Paul2001

Sadly this is the only picture I actually took of Rotterdam as I whipped through it so quickly. The Kijk-Kubus were built in 1984 by architect Piet Bloom. They are in fact an apartment block made up of tilted cube shaped apartments. Apparently you have to get you furniture custom made in order for it to fit inside. You can visit one of the apartments for a small fee but as I was in a hurry, I sped off to Delft instead. The Kijk-Kubus as become a symbol of Rotterdam and modern architecture in the Netherlands.
