That's also a very popular stuff to do here, and I must say that this is certainly my best memory of NZ's outdoor activity! The weather and the water was cold as it snowed the night before on the mounts surrounding Kaikoura, but dude, these dolphins are quick and you better swim and dive fun with them if you want them to play or interact with you!

Kaikoura also offers great opportunities to swim with seals, observe whales (mainly sperm whales and Orca) and loads of marine birds.
